Great diner food. Came here for a late brunch and was surprised by the variety of food choices. I ordered corn beef hash breakfast which came with eggs, hash browns, toast, and corn beef. Very delicious meal and big servings. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros which came with tortillas topped with sauce, eggs, beans, and avocado. He devoured his whole meal and loved every bite. Coffee was fresh and hot. I like the small details like having hot sauces and ketchup at each table. They even give you your own creamer and sugar. Service is very friendly. I took one star off because unfortunately service was a bit slow. It seems like it's a family-owned place which is why details matter to them. I would def come back to try more items.

We had a really great experience at Westlake Coffee Shop! There were 6 of us and we came near to closing. They told us to take our time and the food was fresh! They were super gracious and friendly. We didn't even think to take pictures until after everything was gone! It was really good food. The pupusa's were authentic El Salvadorian.

The food was good. Hamburger cooked perfectly. However, this was ordered through Instacart. I paid $2.00 more for onion rings and they gave me fries. See picture. Instacart only gave me $1.60 back. Not satisfied with that but okay. Not pictured I ordered French toast with soft scrambled egg and bacon. Very delicious!

3.5 * rounded. Westlake Coffee Shop in Daly City is a cozy little diner that we stumbled upon on Christmas Day when most breakfast spots were closed. We tried the bean and cheese pupusa, the vegetarian burger (the patty was fantastic!), and the French toast. The food was good across the board. An added bonus is the free parking in the garage right next door, making it super convenient. The staff is friendly and polite. However, on our second visit the service was slower, and the food took a bit longer to arrive. While the food quality remained consistent, the slower service is something to watch out for if you are in a hurry.

I think this place is a gem and the people that work there are very friendly. I am really into old school diners and I immediately got a good feeling once I walked inside. They have booths and a bar overlooking the kitchen where there is seating too. Great place to grab a cup of coffee, some greasy diner food, and/or a plate of fries (which is what my kids wanted). Free parking in the lot next door and a great place to grab a place to eat before or after your movie at the theater! I will be back!

I was having a bad day after finding out my bus had been delayed for an hour but Westlake Coffee Shop really turned that around for me. I came in stressed, sweaty, and desperate but came out refreshed and optimistic. The staff are so nice and friendly, I felt like I was walking into a friend's home. This is why I love mom and pop shops. Onto the food, I ordered two tacos: chicken and beef. They're 4 dollars each (standard for bay area), but came with tons of meat so I was pretty satisfied. The quality of the meat was pretty food and it was pretty tender, especially the chicken. Now, these aren't the best tacos I've ever had but they were the tacos I needed and I appreciate it so much. If this spot started making a larger variety of tacos I can definitely see myself traveling here specifically for it because it's such a convenient spot. The next time I'm back I'll be looking to try some of the regular diner food so I'll update my review then.

Westlake Coffee Shop is solid for a hearty breakfast. I met up with a relative here and was happy there's free parking at the garage next door. It's a nice Mom and Pop place and quite big inside. I can see how it can get busy on the weekends. I liked that the menu had a lot to choose from and I decided to be healthy and got the vegetarian omelette. The omelette was quite large and came with a side of crispy hash browns and two slices of toast with butter. It was so big I wasn't able to finish it and brought it home to eat later. Service was quick and efficient. They were nice enough not to kick us out since we were chatting for a long time.
